John and Polly Burgess became the owners of Mount View Estate (8 ha) in 2000, and in ’04 purchased the adjoining Limestone Creek Vineyard (8 ha); planted in 1982, it fits seamlessly into the Mount View Estate production.

Mount View Estate Winery in the Hunter Valley Wine Country, has 8 hectares under vine and features Accommodation, Cellar Door, Wine Tasting, an exclusive Wine Club and prides itself on its distinguished 35 year history of producing premium hand crafted wines of distinction.

The Mount View Estate's modern winery is set against the backdrop of the Mount View Mountain range which is considered to be one of the most scenic and fertile sub-region's in the Lower Hunter Valley.

From the vine to the glass, we pride ourselves on the use of traditional practices, encompassing hand harvesting, hand pruning, small batching and the dedication to quality.

This commitment to quality is reflected in our continual high achievement in Local and National Wine Shows. The varieties planted at Mount View Estate consist of Semillon, Shiraz, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Verdelho and Sauvignon Blanc. Each of these varieties have consistently achieved Gold Medals.

The Lodge at Mount View Estate is situated in the Mount View wine Region of Pokolbin, Hunter Valley. Only minutes from the centre of Pokolbin, within easy reach of award winning restaurants, golf courses, wineries and other major Hunter Valley attractions, the Lodge at Mount View Estate is an ideal haven to relax and unwind!

Guests can stay for as little as $55.00 per person per night midweek. Weekends start from as little as $600.00 for 4 Guests for 2 nights. Club members receive further discounts. Pets are allowed by arrangement.
