Our Review
Faisan Estate, within sight of Mt Canobolas and 20km west of the city of Orange, was established by Trish and Col Walker. The estate includes 2.5ha each of cabernet sauvignon and shiraz, 0.8ha each of chardonnay and semillon and 0.4ha of pinot noir. The vineyard is planted on red basalt and gravel soils at an altitude of 780m. Son Michael has returned from Europe to assume winemaking and viticultural responsibilities for Faisan. -JAMES HALLIDAY
