Tim Smith Wines

South Australia | Barossa Valley

Our Review

After many years working at Barossa producers such as Yalumba, St Hallett, Charles Melton and Château Tanunda, today Tim Smith plies his vinous craft from his shed in Vine Vale at the foot of the eastern range of the Barossa Valley. Making wines under his own label since 2002, it was perhaps Tim’s time working harvest for Chapoutier, Gabriel Meffre and Domaine du Mandeville in France’s Rhône valley, that have most strongly shaped where Tim's wines are today. Intuitive, considered winemaking, a knack for sourcing exceptional grapes from across the Barossa and an ability to make those wines sing clearly of their place is no mean feat, but Smith consistently achieves great results, year in, year out. Exports to South Korea, the US, the UK, Ireland and Denmark. -DAVE BROOKES
