The award-winning cellar door is set within the historic old stone settlers' cottage built in 1851 by Cornish miner John Trestrail. The original cottage is surrounded by gardens and has sweeping views over our picturesque estate vineyards. The cellar door is open daily for tastings and is connected to our restaurant, allowing guests to sample some of the Clare Valley’s best local produce. Bookings are recommended but not required.

Information

Located in the old stone settlers’ cottage built in 1851 is the Skillogalee Winery Restaurant. The historic cottage restaurant offers guests a chance to sample Skillogalee wines in the way they were intended to be enjoyed – with food, in the heart of the beautiful Clare Valley. The emphasis of the menu is on interesting dishes reflecting seasonality of produce. Guests can enjoy their culinary delights on the verandah or under the shade of our old olive tree, overlooking the cottage gardens and vineyards – a wonderful slice of Australian countryside. Indoor, verandah and outdoor options, full local and seasonal a-la-carte menu, sharing plates for wine tasting, and picnic baskets for estate picnics. Bookings highly recommended.

Skillogalee boasts a selection of well-appointed, self-catering properties, including Skillogalee House and Willow Glen; both accommodation venues are located in the Clare Valley alongside the family-friendly Owl and Wren Cottages.

Skillogalee's Wren Cottage: 2 Bedroom (2x Queen, 1x Twin Single), combustion wood fire, verandah, generous breakfast provisions including bacon, eggs, award-winning local sausages, cheese plate and wine.
Willow Glen House: 4 bedrooms (1 King, 2 Queen & 2 single) with combustion heater and ducted air conditioning, beautifully appointed main bathroom and ensuite to the master bedroom, open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, private dining room, patio dining overlooking the vineyards, outdoor pool and covered outdoor dining with barbecue. Generous breakfast provisions including bacon, eggs, award-winning local sausages, cheese and charcuterie, fruit, chocolates, juices and wine, with complimentary internet access and Netflix.
