Our Review
Owned and run by Joch Bosworth (viticulture and winemaking) and partner Louise Hemsley-Smith (sales and marketing), this winery takes its name from the battle that ended the War of the Roses, fought on Bosworth Field in 1485. The vineyards were established in the early '70s in the foothills of the Mount Lofty Ranges by Joch's parents. The conversion to organic viticulture began in '95 with full certification obtained shortly thereafter. Shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and chardonnay account for 75% of the plantings. The Spring Seed Wine Co wines are made from estate vineyards. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Cellar Door
Information
Our cellar door is small but perfectly formed. We don't take bookings or charge for tastings, but we do love a heads up if you want to call first. It's fine to swing by unannounced too.
Our cellar door is an old (1850s) converted chaff shed and stables, with elevated views over our vines looking north to McLaren Vale and west to the Gulf St Vincent.
