Penny's Hill

South Australia | McLaren Vale

Our Review

Founded in 1988 by Tony and Susie Parkinson, Penny’s Hill produces high quality shiraz (Footprint and The Skeleton Key) from its close-planted McLaren Vale estate, also the source of the Edwards Road Cabernet Sauvignon and The Experiment Grenache. Malpas Road and Goss Corner vineyards complete the estate holdings, providing fruit for Cracking Black Shiraz and Malpas Road Merlot. White wines (The Agreement Sauvignon Blanc and The Minimalist Chardonnay) are sourced from 'estates of mates’ in the Adelaide Hills. Penny’s Hill cellars are located at the historic Ingleburne Farm, which also houses the award-winning The Kitchen Door restaurant and Red Dot Gallery. Noted for its distinctive ‘red dot’ packaging. -JAMES HALLIDAY
