Shane and Loretta Breheny’s 20-ha property is situated predominantly on a gentle, north- facing slope, with cypress trees on the western and southern borders providing protection against the wind. Vines were planted over 2001–02, with pinot noir (5 ha) taking the lion’s share, followed by pinot gris (2 ha), shiraz (1.5 ha) and 0.25 ha each of chardonnay and sauvignon blanc. Viticulture is Loretta’s love; winemaking (and wine) is Shane’s.

The grapes for our cool climate wines are handpicked from our nine hectare vineyard. The wines are an expression of our tranquil site nestled between the surrounding Surf Coast hinterland and Mt Moriac. They are handcrafted in our small onsite winery with traditional techniques.
Our 2004 and 2010 Shiraz has been awarded the Best Wine in the Geelong Wine Show in 2005 and 2011. Our 2006 Shiraz has won the Trophy for the Best Shiraz in the Geelong Show in 2007. The 2010 Shiraz has also won the top Gold in the National Wine Show. It has consistently been awarded 94 points by James. Our Pinot Noir 2010 has just been awarded 94 points and is a real cracker at a suggested retail of $22.00. Our crisp Pinot Grigio and our luscious Pinot Gris are both notorious throughout our region for being wonderfully true to style.
