Sam Miranda, grandson of Francesco Miranda, joined the family business in 1991, striking out on his own in 2004 after Miranda Wines was purchased by McGuigan Simeon. The High Plains Vineyard is in the Upper King Valley at an altitude of 450 m; estate plantings are supplemented by some purchased grapes. In ’05 Sam purchased the Symphonia Wines business, and intends to keep its identity intact and separate from the Sam Miranda brand. Exports to China.
