Gabriel Horvat Wines

Gabriel Horvat grew up in the Pyrenees town of Landsborough, and after finishing school, worked for several years in local vineyards before beginning a winemaking degree in 2000 at CSU. He subsequently decided to discontinue studying for that degree, instead gaining practical and philosophical education in traditional methods in his father's winery (Horvat). He began developing his own labels, and eventually moved to set up his own small winery in Daylesford. Situated in the middle of town, his venture extends to a boutique wine store focusing on the wines of Western Victoria, a wine bar and music venue. The premises are named ?W.I.N.E. is a 4 letter word', his operating company called Liberated Winemakers. -JAMES HALLIDAY
