Our Review

Ermes and Denise Zucchet commenced planting of the 2.5-ha estate in 1989 with chardonnay, riesling, cabernet sauvignon and merlot, adding pinot gris in 1991. In 1994 an existing piggery on the property was converted to a winery and cellar door area (in the Zucchets' words, 'the pigs having been evicted'). The wines are modestly priced. -JAMES HALLIDAY
