Bill and Karen Ashby purchased the Longview Creek Vineyard from founders Dr Ron and Joan Parker in 2003. It is situated on the brink of the spectacular Longview Gorge, the bulk of the plantings of chardonnay (0.9 ha), pinot noir (0.6 ha) and chenin blanc (0.3 ha) were made between 1988 and ’90. Thereafter a little cabernet franc and riesling were planted.

Situated on the brink of the spectacular Longview Creek gorge in the cool climate Sunbury region 10 kms north of Sunbury township towards the Macedon Ranges, Longview Creek Vineyard was established in 1988Out philosophy is to concentrate on producing small parcels os high quality estate grown fruit, nurtured by labour intensive viticultural practices including hand pruning and picking. Further, in the winery, a minimalist approach is adopted to ensure our handcrafted wines reflect the inherent characteristics of the fruit and site.
The vineyard is planted to Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Franc and Chenin Blanc. It is the varietals of the Loire Valley - Chenin Blanc and Cabernet Franc that are our point of difference.
