In 1996 Susan and Malcolm Kinloch began the development of their vineyard, at an altitude of 400 m on the northern slopes of the Great Dividing Range, 15 mins from Mansfield. The vineyard is planted to chardonnay, pinot noir, pinot meunier (primarily used for sparkling wines), sauvignon blanc, riesling and tempranillo, supplemented by purchases of other varieties from local growers. The grapes are hand-picked and wines contract-made in the Yarra Valley.
