Dr Robert Ippaso established the Lost Valley vineyard at an elevation of 450 m on the slopes of Mt Tallarook, planting merlot, shiraz, cortese, sauvignon blanc and riesling. This cortese is the only planting in Australia. It pays homage to Dr Ippaso’s birthplace: Savoie, in the Franco-Italian Alps, where cortese flourishes. Exports to the US, Canada, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia and China.
