Named after a Mr Dixon who grazed cattle on a squatter’s run in the 1840s, the Dixons Creek subregion of the Yarra Valley is now home to a number of vineyards and wineries. The 18.5-ha vineyard is planted to chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, pinot noir and cabernet sauvignon, heralding further increases in production.
