Bob Fowler, who comes from a rural background and had always hankered for a farming life, stumbled across the opportunity to achieve this in early '10. Together with wife Marilyn, he purchased the former West Cape Howe winery and surrounding vineyard when West Cape Howe moved the larger Goundrey winery. In ’11 Willoughby Park purchased the Kalgan River vineyard and business name, and winemaking operations have been transferred to Willoughby Park. There are 3 labels: the Kalgan River and Ironrock single-vineyard ranges, and Willoughby Park, and the Great Southern brand for estate and purchased grapes. -JAMES HALLIDAY

Located adjacent to the restaurant and brewery and overlooking the vineyard the Willoughby Park cellar door is open every day and offers a selection of wines for tasting. The relaxed friendly atmosphere offers the opportunity to choose a wine for your meal or to enjoy later. Wines from our IronRock, Kalgan River and Willoughby Park ranges, as well as monthly specials and back vintages from the cellar are all available. Group Tastings: please contact our friendly staff to arrange a special group tasting — info@willoughbypark.com.au. Open every day 11.00am - 5.00pm. Close Christmas Day and Good Friday.
