John and Libby Staley, with daughter, Megan, her husband, Shane, and youngest grandson, Lewis, have all had hands-on involvement in the establishment of vineyards – clearing bushland, rock picking, stick picking and planting, etc. The soils are gravelly loam over a clay granite base; the vineyard has a western aspect and is 5 km from the Indian Ocean. Plantings include shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, semillon and sauvignon blanc. Exports to Hong Kong, Japan and Singapore.
