When Roger Hill and Gillian Anderson purchased the Wrights’ vineyard in 1998, the 10-ha vineyard was already 25 years old, but in need of retrellising and a certain amount of nursing to bring it back to health. All of that has happened, along with the planting of additional shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. The Juniper Crossing wines use a mix of estate-grown and purchased grapes from other Margaret River vineyards, while the Juniper Estate releases are made only from the estate plantings. Exports to the UK, Ireland, Canada, Denmark, Hong Kong, Philippines and Singapore.

Juniper Estate is one of the original Margaret River vineyards nestled in the picturesque Wilyabrup valley. Established in 1973, when there were only five producers in the region, it is one of the pioneer vineyards and is dry grown to this day. We produce two ranges of wines – our Estate wines from our own vines, and our Crossing wines, where we use fruit from a couple of local producers to supplement our own production. It’s pretty much a hands on operation – the vines are hand-pruned and hand-picked, and the wine hand-made. The Juniper family originally owned the land where Juniper Estate is now hence the name Juniper Estate. Robert Juniper who is a famous Western Australian artist was commissioned by us to paint the Juniper Estate label.
