Our Review
This outstanding winery and vineyard is owned by the Horgan family, founded by Denis and Tricia, who continue their involvement, with son Justin Horgan and daughter Simone Furlong joint chief executives. The Art Series Chardonnay is, in my (James') opinion, Australia’s finest example based on the wines of the last 30 vintages. The large estate plantings, coupled with strategic purchases of grapes from other growers, provide the base for high-quality Art Series Cabernet Sauvignon and Shiraz; the hugely successful, quick-selling Art Series Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc; and lower-priced Prelude and Siblings wines. -JAMES HALLIDAY

The Leeuwin Restaurant maintains the food philosophy of combining exceptional seasonal West Australian produce, focusing on flavour, texture and aromas, with current and museum release Leeuwin Estate wines. With sweeping verandahs, the restaurant overlooks a meadow surrounded by a forest of majestic karri trees. The Leeuwin “Wine Room”, is available for private dining group bookings.
