Widely regarded as one of the best wineries in the region, capable of producing glorious Semillon in both oaked and unoaked forms, unctuous Chardonnay and elegant, gently herbaceous, superfine Cabernet Sauvignon, which lives for many years. In 2000 Moss Wood acquired the Ribbon Vale Estate; the Ribbon Vale wines are now treated as vineyard- designated within the Moss Wood umbrella. Cabernet Sauvignon was the only wine submitted for this edition. Exports to all major markets.

Since 1984 Clare and Keith Mugford have consistently sought and applied new knowledge and technology to enhance grape and wine quality at Moss Wood. Together they have created a stable of wines that are distinguished by their consistency over many vintages and their ability to age superbly. Moss Wood was established in the Margaret River region, in 1969 by pioneer and visionary Dr Bill Pannell who selected the Wilyabrup property for the suitability of its soils and aspect, his selection is truly one of the finest vineyard sites in Australia. Bill and his wife Sandra’s vision for Moss Wood was to create a purist winery dedicated to the production of site specific fine wines.Unwavering for over forty years the vision for Moss Wood is that of uncompromising quality, constantly seeking to produce the perfect fruit and flawless great wine.
