You can also go direct to the online listings by clicking on the section headers below, where you'll find handy links to the winery websites should you wish to snap up a bottle or 12 before everyone else catches on.
Editor’s note: Wineries pay to be included in this guide. James Halliday and his tasting team provided the reviews without knowledge of any advertising placed in conjunction with them, and were not involved in the final selection of wines.
Among the 13 wines priced between $15 and $20 is a 94-point Hunter Valley semillon, an irresistible Coonawarra cabernet and a cellar-worthy riesling described as potentially the 'bargain of a lifetime'.
In the $21 to $24 bracket you will find a 96-point sauvignon blanc semillon, a West Australian shiraz to watch and a wine 'that Dionysus himself would have consumed in large quantities'.
A quality Yarra Valley pinot shiraz, a bargain Great Southern chardonnay and a memorable Bordeaux blend from the Barossa Valley feature in the $25 to $30 line-up.
