Wild Fox Organic Wines

South Australia | Adelaide Plains

Our Review

Prior generations of the Markou family lived in the village of Agrelopo (meaning wild fox) on the Greek island of Chios. Now in Australia, the family has continued its involvement with growing grapes and making wine, with managing director Petros Markou acknowledging it was his brother Terry who originally purchased the vineyard as a hobby farm, but having the vision to move to certified organic status in 1998. The vineyard is planted to shiraz, merlot, sauvignon blanc and cabernet sauvignon. Tasting notes for the Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc can be seen on www.winecompanion.com.au. Exports to the US, Holland, Hong Kong and Singapore. -JAMES HALLIDAY
