Adelina Wines

South Australia | Clare Valley

Our Review

Established by Jennie Gardner and Col McBryde. The winery and vineyard are set in the Springfarm Valley, just south of the Clare township. The old vineyard, part dating back to 1910, is divided into 1ha each of shiraz and grenache. There's also a further 1ha of bush-vine mataro, 0.5ha of malbec and 2.2ha of shiraz, with a field blend (grafted in ’15 onto 0.22ha of ’76-planted cabernet) covering off shiraz, grenache, mataro, carignan, ugni blanc and roussanne. The winery is a simple shed with the basic requisites to process the grapes and make wine. Most is estate-grown, but some fruit, including riesling, comes from a few sites in the Clare Valley and Adelaide Hills.
