Stephen McInerney learnt his trade on the winery floor in various parts of the world: he started in 1985 at Jim Barry Wines, and spent a number of years there before moving to Pikes. He also worked as a Flying Winemaker in France, Oregon, Spain and Argentina. He is now assistant winemaker at the large Kirribilly Winery in the Clare Valley. He established Inchiquin Wines with his partner Kate Strachan; she too has great industry credentials, primarily as the viticulturist for Taylor's (and previously Southcorp), which has the largest vineyards in the Clare Valley. The wines are made by Stephen McInerney at Pikes. Exports to Ireland.
