Our Review
Bremerton is a family-owned winery, run by sisters Rebecca Willson (chief winemaker) and Lucy Willson (marketing manager). Previously a lucerne farm, the family experimented with grape growing in the ’80s and ’90s; a flood in ’92 ruined the lucerne crop and led the family to switch to grape growing commercially. Today they have 120ha of premium vineyards (80% of which goes into their own labels), planted to cabernet sauvignon, shiraz, verdelho, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, malbec, merlot, fiano, graciano and petit verdot. -JAMES HALLIDAY
