Shearer's Hill

South Australia | Langhorne Creek

Our Review

This former grazing property, owned by the Crawford family, underwent a major change when planting of 360ha of grapes began. The substantial plantings include shiraz (135ha), chardonnay (82ha), cabernet sauvignon (31ha), with smaller plantings of sauvignon blanc, pinot gris, pinot noir and merlot. Not all the grapes are used for the Shearer's Hill label, the excess being sold to other winemakers. -JAMES HALLIDAY
