Loonie Wine Co

South Australia | McLaren Vale

James' Review

Yet another venture by Canadian-born and raised (but long-term McLaren Vale resident) Norm Doole. A grape grower for decades, Norm founded DOWIE DOOLE with Drew Dowie in 1995. Monterra has been a centre of activity in McLaren Vale in the past two years. It flew under the radar when established in 2014, busy with barrel finance and logistics and Norm Doole's mind spinning roles with the Willunga Basin Water Company, Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board and Boar's Rock. Monterra makes wines from the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Fleurieu Peninsula. Exports to the US, Canada, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China.

Vigneron Norm Doole has joined forces with Winemakers Mike Farmilo and Daniel Zuzolo and Marketer Nick Whiteway to produce a portfolio of wines from the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Southern Fleurieu. The wines are fresh, contemporary in style and beautifully packaged.

Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano, Grenache, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Nero d'Avola
