Field Day

South Australia | McLaren Vale

Our Review

Yet another venture by Canadian-born and raised (but long-term McLaren Vale resident) Norm Doole (in partnership with Mike Farmilo and Nick Whiteway). A grapegrower for decades, Norm founded DOWIE DOOLE with Drew Dowie in 1995. Field Day, (formerly Loonie Wine Co and before that, Monterra) has been a centre of activity in McLaren Vale in recent years. It flew under the radar when established in 2014, busy with barrel finance and logistics and Norm Doole’s mind-spinning roles with the Willunga Basin Water Company, Southern Adelaide Economic Development Board and Boar’s Rock. Wines are made from the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale, Barossa Valley and Fleurieu Peninsula. Exports to the US, China, Hong Kong, Thaliand and Singapore.

Vigneron Norm Doole has joined forces with Winemakers Mike Farmilo and Daniel Zuzolo and Marketer Nick Whiteway to produce a portfolio of wines from the Adelaide Hills, McLaren Vale and Southern Fleurieu. The wines are fresh, contemporary in style and beautifully packaged.

Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano, Grenache, Tempranillo, Sangiovese, Nero d'Avola
