Named in honour of George Wyndham, who planted Australia's first commercial shiraz vineyard in 1830 at Dalwood in the Hunter Valley. Originally Dalwood Wines until 1970, then Wyndham Estate (1970-2015), the wines were renamed George Wyndham in '15. The Bin range, led by Bin 555 Shiraz, often represents good value for money, as do the ‘George' wines (I am George, George the Fixer). At the top is Black Cluster (shiraz) from the Hunter Valley. The wines are made and bottled in the Barossa Valley. Exports to Canada, Europe and Asia.
Formerly named Wyndham Estate, George Wyndham™ has been dedicated to crafting full bodied wines ever since George planted Australia’s first commercial Shiraz vineyard over 185 years ago. The brand’s award-winning premium wine portfolio is led by Shiraz and Cabernet, and is made for those who determinedly live without compromise and enjoy rich, robust wines.
