In 2005 Tamar Ridge acquired Coombend Estate, including all the assets and the business name. Tamar Ridge immediately commenced the establishment of a large vineyard dwarfed the existing 1.75ha of cabernet sauvignon, 2.25ha of sauvignon blanc, 0.5ha of pinot noir and 0.3ha of riesling. Now part of Brown Brothers? Tasmanian empire. Exports to Holland and Sweden. -JAMES HALLIDAY
