The beautiful Wilmot Hills Vineyard is on the western side of Lake Barrington, not far from the Cradle Mountain road, with marvellous views to Mt Roland and the adjacent peaks. It is very much a family affair, and produces both wine and cider. John Cole spent 18 years in Melbourne in engineering design and some graphic art, and Ruth worked in the hospitality industry for 10 years and making fruit wines for 20 years. The neat onsite winery was designed and built by the Coles, as was much of the wine- and cider-making equipment.
This winery is now closed.
