Plunkett Fowles Wild Lunch

Event Date: 03 Mar 2012

On Saturday the 3 March 2012 Victorian winery Plunkett Fowles will be hosting ‘Are you game for a wild lunch?’ in Longwood as part of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.

With a dress theme of ‘a touch of tweed’, guests will be whisked from Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station in the historic Art Deco Spirit of Progress train to the Fowles family’s heritage listed Killeen Barn in the heart of the Strathbogie Ranges.  Guests will be greeted with canapés and limited edition Ladies who Shoot their Lunch sparkling on arrival.

With live music, game preparation and cooking demonstrations and prizes for the ‘best tweed attire’ our guests will have worked up an appetite for the main event.
Sitting down to what has been dubbed the ‘longest game lunch in Australia’, guests will enjoy a delicious menu of locally sourced produce including rabbit, local trout, venison and quail  served with matched wines.

Auctioneer Supremo David Fowles will be wielding the hammer with exclusive Ladies who Shoot their Lunch posters and wine up for grabs and all proceeds going charity.

In what promises to be one of the most exciting events of the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival, Plunkett Fowles CEO Matt Fowles hopes guests are game for a day of fun, frivolity and fantastic local produce and wine from the heart of Victoria.
