What I'm Drinking...

2000 McWilliams Lovedale Semillon

Publish Date: 23 Nov 2011

Bright, glowing green-gold; a brilliant example of what a good cork in a good bottle can offer - a spellbinding marriage of lime, lemon curd, honey and a whiff of lightly browned toast, acidity there as a deceptively gentle framework until the finish when it cleanses the aftertaste, inviting - demanding indeed - another mouthful. Roast chicken, stuffed under the skin with fresh herbs, was the perfect match.
