James' Review

Red Earth Estate, owned by Ken and Christine Borchardt, is the focal point of grapegrowing and winemaking in the Western Plains Zone. They have planted riesling, verdelho, frontignac, grenache, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon and a small amount of torrentes. The winery has a capacity of 14 000 cases, and the Borchardts also offer contract winemaking facilities for others in the region.

About this winery

We have been making fine wines at Red Earth Estate since 2001. Situated in Dubbo NSW, our wines are as rich in colour and texture as the red soil plains of western NSW, where the wines are made. Visit our cellar door where you can sip on a chilled Riesling in the heat of summer or fortify yourself with a warm tawny through the months of winter. Red Earth Estate is the focal point of winemaking in the Dubbo region.

Specialties

Our Verdelho is our signature white wine. Our 2010 Verdelho received a 5 star award from WineState Magazine.

Our Timeless red blend is our signature red wine. James Halliday awarded 90 points to our 2008 Timeless.
