Deisen once again proves the old adage true that nothing succeeds like success. In the first year, 3.5 tonnes of grapes produced five barrels of Shiraz and two of Grenache. Since that time, production has grown slowly but steadily with bits and pieces of traditional winemaking equipment (small crushers, open tanks and hand- plunging, now housed in a slightly larger tin shed). The number of wines made and the tiny quantities of some (20 dozen is not uncommon) is staggering. The style of all the wines is remarkably similar: sweet and luscious fruit; soft, ripe tannins; and a warmth from the alcohol (toned down in recent releases). Exports to the US.
