Our Review
Cascabel's proprietors, Duncan Ferguson and Susana Fernandez, have planted a mosaic of southern Rhone and Spanish varieties. The choice of grapes reflects the winemaking experience of the proprietors in Australia, the Rhone Valley, Bordeaux, Italy, Germany and NZ - and also Susana's birthplace, Spain. Production has moved steadily towards the style of the Rhone Valley, Rioja and other parts of Spain. Since December '14 the business has been quietly on the market. Exports to the UK, the US, Hong Kong, Japan and China. -JAMES HALLIDAY
