Ceres Bridge Estate

Challon and Patricia Murdock began the long, slow and very frustrating process of establishing their vineyard in 1996. They planted 1.8ha of chardonnay in that year, but 50% of the vines died. They persevered by planting 1.1ha of pinot noir in '00, and replanting in ’01. In ’05 they signified their intention to become serious by planting shiraz, nebbiolo, sauvignon blanc, viognier, tempranillo and pinot grigio. -JAMES HALLIDAY
