In 1996 farmers Julian and Kaaren Kaye joined with Melbourne-based investors Robert and Ann Johnson, to plant 4 ha of shiraz. Since then they planted a further 33 ha of shiraz, and thereafter purchased an equivalent area of predominantly cabernet sauvignon planted on an adjoining property. The grapes are sold to Mount Langi Ghiran, which speaks for itself in terms of the quality of the fruit, and a small amount is made for Nowhere Creek by Mount Langi Ghiran.
