Jenny Houghton purchased this 8-ha property in 1994, planting shiraz (1.9 ha) and cabernet sauvignon (1.3 ha), and establishing a stylish B&B cottage. The name comes from Lieutenant Colonel Maygar, who fought with outstanding bravery in the Boer War in South Africa in 1901, and was awarded the Victoria Cross. In World War I he rose to command the 8th Light Horse Regiment, winning yet further medals for bravery. He died on 1 November 1917. Exports to Fiji.
