This is the venture of the Eastwell family; son Matt graduated from the viticulture and oenology course at the Curtin Margaret River Campus in 2006. The following year he and his parents, Adrian and Margaret, purchased the 40-ha property intending to focus on the viticulture side, and initially sell the grapes to local wineries as the previous owner had done. The vineyard had been planted in 1998 to sauvignon blanc, semillon, merlot, cabernet sauvignon and shiraz. As so often happens, they are now producing wine under the Eastwell Estate label. The wines, selling at mouth-watering prices, are made by industry stalwart John Wade.
