Initial growth was based on its ultra-commercial, fairly sweet Chenin Blanc, which continues to provide the volume for the brand. However, the quality of all the other wines has risen markedly over recent years as the 31 ha of estate plantings have become fully mature. Became part of CWA (now Accolade Wines) following Constellation Wines’ acquisition of Canadian winemaker Vincor, which had in turn acquired Amberley Estate in early 2004. Accolade sold the vineyard, cellar and restaurant facility to family interests associated with Stephen Tobin, a Perth-based businessman, in 2010, but retained the brand, the wines now made elsewhere. Exports to the UK and the US.
