Become a wine taster

Could you be the newest member of the Naked Wines tasting panel? The online wine retailer is searching for an everyday wine enthusiast to join its next tasting in July.

In a bid to talk to its members in a real, approachable way about its range, Naked Wines is seeking a wine enthusiast from outside the industry to join their next tasting session in Sydney in late July. The online wine retailer is seeking someone who is prepared to try – and spit – many different types of wine, and has the ability to describe a wine in simple terms.

Twice a year, Naked Wines brings together a panel of “taste masters” to sample its wines, which are made especially for the company and not available elsewhere. The panel also uses these tastings to compare their wines to counterparts sold in bottle shops. In a bid to make sure the company “talks like real people” when they describe a wine on their website, they are now seeking an everyday wine lover to join the panel.

The chosen applicant will receive $1000, tips on how to taste, and a private session with a winemaker at their winery.

The company has partnered with Airtasker to promote the opportunity, with the chosen applicant receiving $1000, tips and training on how to sip, swill and spit, and a private tasting session with one of Naked Wines’ winemakers at their winery.

Naked Wines sells wine directly to its customers, working with independent Australian and Kiwi winemakers, who produce wines specifically for the company.

With the tasting in Manly on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, candidates outside of New South Wales are encouraged to apply, but will be responsible for their own travel expenses. For details on how to apply before June 23, see here.
