Winburndale

New South Wales | Central Ranges Zone

Our Review

Michael and Helen Burleigh acquired the 200ha Winburndale property in 1998: 160ha is forest, to be kept as a nature reserve; three separate vineyards have been planted under the direction of award-winning viticulturist Mark Renzaglia. The winery paddock has shiraz facing due west at an altitude of 800-820m; the south paddock, with north and northwest aspects, varying from 790-810m, has chardonnay, riesling, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon. The home paddock is the most level, with a slight northerly aspect, and has riesling and shiraz. Exports to the US and Denmark. -JAMES HALLIDAY
