Six generations of the Drayton family have successively run the family business. It is now in the hands of Max Drayton, and sons John and Greg. The family has suffered more than its fair share of misfortune over the years, but has risen to the challenge. Edgar Vales is the chief winemaker after previous experience as assistant winemaker with David Hook and First Creek Wines. His arrival coincided with the release of a range of high quality wines. The wines come in part from blocks on the estate vineyards that are over 120 years old and in prime Hunter Valley locations. Exports to Ireland, Bulgaria, Turkey, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Taiwan and China.
