James' Review

This is the venture of winemaking couple Damien Stevens and Jodie Belleville. The grapes are purchased from highly regarded growers within the Hunter, with the emphasis on single vineyard wines and small batch processing. Continuing success for the venture led to the opening of a cellar door in late '14, offering not only the three best-known Hunter varieties, but also experimental wines and alternative varieties. Hart & Hunter celebrated its 10th anniversary in '19.

We are a small family business, passionate about the Hunter Valley. Our aim is to create wines that represent our region and show a distinct sense of place, are thoughtful and ultimately delicious. We love the traditional varieties of the Hunter Valley in Semillon, Chardonnay & Shiraz and all their nuances between vineyards but we also take the opportunity to experiment with such luscious grapes as Fiano and Riesling, skin contact Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Shiraz Pinot.
