Horner Wines

New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

Ashley and Lauren Horner have a certified organic vineyard planted to chardonnay, viognier and shiraz. Grapes are also sourced from organic vineyards in Orange and Cowra. Ashley had a 14-year career working at Rosemount Estate, Penfolds, Kamberra Estate, Saint Clair (NZ) and Mount Pleasant, ultimately becoming winemaker at Tamburlaine and completing a diploma in wine technology at Dookie College. Lauren has a degree in hospitality/tourism and is now involved in the running of Horner Wines. The move from grapegrowing to winemaking was precipitated by the fall in demand for grape. They sell the wines through www.nakedwines.com.au.

Horner Wines is one of the newest wineries to open in the Hunter Valley with their Cellar Door launching in 2019. Horner Wines focus is on organic small batch, high-quality wines made from the best grape varieties picked from their ideal regions.
