New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

in 1980. Elderberry, and rosehip and fig, gave way to wine grape juice obtained from France. When they returned to Australia 24 years later, they decided they wanted to make red wine, and Susan wanted a place with enough rain to have a good garden. So they chose the Hunter Valley, without realising how often the rain fell at the wrong time for the vineyard. This hasn't deterred them, and semillon has entrenched itself. -JAMES HALLIDAY
