Ian Scarborough honed his white winemaking skills during his years as a consultant, and has brought all those skills to his own label. He makes three different styles of Chardonnay: the Blue Label is a light, elegant, Chablis style for the export market; a richer barrel-fermented wine (Yellow Label) is primarily directed to the Australian market; the third is the White Label, a cellar door-only wine made in the best vintages. The Scarborough family also acquired a portion of the old Lindemans Sunshine Vineyard (after it lay fallow for 30 years) and planted it with semillon and (quixotically) pinot noir.

We now have two cellar doors where you can come to enjoy the home grown experience. The original cellar door on Gillards Road commands sweeping views over the Hunter Valley where you’ll receive a unique tasting experience.
Scarborough on Hermitage is our new, bright and contemporary tasting space, where you can taste, buy a hamper or even do a winery tour. Either way it will ensure you’ll be made to feel like family.
