Sweetwater Wines

New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

Sweetwater Wines is a single-vineyard winery making semillon, shiraz and cabernet sauvignon, all stored in a temperature-controlled underground wine cellar that is part of the very large ornate house and separate guest accommodation built on the property. The reason for the seemingly unusual focus on cabernet sauvignon is the famed red volcanic soil over limestone. Bryan Currie has made the wines since '16, and the wines can be tasted at the nearby Hungerford Hill cellar door.
