Tintilla Wines

New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

The Lusby family has established shiraz (2.2ha), sangiovese (1.6ha), merlot (1.3ha), semillon (1.2ha) and cabernet sauvignon (0.2ha) on a northeast-facing slope with red clay and limestone soil. Tintilla was the first winery to plant sangiovese in the Hunter Valley (in 1995). The family has also planted an olive grove producing four different types of olives, which are cured and sold from the estate. -JAMES HALLIDAY
