Warraroong Estate

New South Wales | Hunter Valley

Our Review

‘Warraroong’ is an Aboriginal word for ‘hillside’, reflecting the southwesterly aspect of the property, which looks back toward the Brokenback Range and Watagan Mountains. The label design is from a painting by Aboriginal artist Kia Kiro who, while from the NT, is now living and working in the Hunter Valley. The vineyard is owned by Bob Bradley and Linda Abrahams, with a support team under the direction of Bob. The plantings are chardonnay (2 ha), shiraz and verdelho (1.2 ha each), chenin blanc, sauvignon blanc and semillon (1 ha each). The quality of the current range of wines is outstanding. Exports to Japan. -JAMES HALLIDAY
