McWilliam’s

New South Wales | Riverina

James' Review

The best wines to emanate from the Hanwood winery are in whole or part from other regions, notably the Hilltops, Coonawarra,Yarra Valley, Tumbarumba, Margaret River and Eden Valley. As McWilliam’s viticultural resources have expanded, it has been able to produce regional blends from across Australia of startlingly good value. The winery rating is strongly reliant on the exceptional value for money of the Hanwood Estate and Inheritance brands. The value of Mount Pleasant (Hunter Valley), Barwang (Hilltops) and Evans & Tate (Margaret River) will become ever more apparent as the ability of these brands to deliver world-class wines at appropriate prices is leveraged by group chief winemaker Jim Chatto. A founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine, 100% owned by the McWilliam family. Exports to all major markets.
