New South Wales | Riverina

Our Review

The best wines of this Riverina winery are from other regions (either in whole or in part), notably Hilltops, Yarra Valley, Tumbarumba and Margaret River. As McWilliam’s viticultural resources have expanded, it has been able to produce regional blends, of startlingly good value, from across Australia. The winery rating is strongly reliant on the exceptional value for money of the Hanwood Estate and Inheritance labels. McWilliam’s is the owner of Mount Pleasant (Hunter Valley) and Barwang (Hilltops), the value of which will become ever more apparent as the ability of these brands to deliver world class wines at appropriate prices is leveraged by group chief winemaker Jim Chatto (see separate entries for each winery). McWilliam’s is a founding member of Australia’s First Families of Wine and is 100% owned by the McWilliam family. Exports to all major markets.

Throughout the years, McWilliam’s has carefully selected a rich portfolio of premium New South Wales vineyards located in the cool climate regions of Hilltops, Tumbarumba, Canberra, and the expansive plains of the Riverina. Our wines showcase regional specific characters, premium quality, impressive depth and full flavour expression. Whether you are dining out, celebrating an occasion or looking to unwind after a long day at work, there is something from the McWilliam’s range to offer a memorable drinking experience.

The wines made by McWilliam’s are more than just benchmark expressions of Australian winemaking. They are wines that tell a story of a family’s passion for winemaking and draw on more than 140 years of experience.
